I Per Press Association], Stdnky, July 20 The Barraba murderers were ©x© cuted at Tamworth to-day. Lee walked to the scaffold, and was apparently indifferent to the fate that awaited him. Uummings was in a fainting condition and had to he wheeled to the scaffold. This was largely due to the fact that he had attempted suicide early in the morning by opening a vein in the arm with a piece of pen knife which he bad suceeded in secreting tver since his arrest. The deed was only discovered in time to prevent his death. Both nien died ui'hout * struggle. Lees, in his speech from the scaffold, declared that Cummings was innocent, and he denied that lie himself was guilty of murder. Cummings was practicallj 7 dead before the bolt was drawn.
