Information haa been received that the Grand Lodge of New South Wales will be officially represented at the annual com* munication of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand hore on the 25th mat. by R. W. Bro, J. R Edwards, Past Deputy Grand Master of New South Wales. An inquest was held at Pel one to-day on the body of a native woman named Wiho Tirea Eiki Manu, who had died in childbirth. After deceased's death, complaints wore made by her friends to the effect that the medical men who had attended her had not provided suitable instruments and delayed the operation until paid for their services. The jury returned a yerdict that deceased met her death from a shock to the system. The Wellington Licensing election cost £150, Masterton £100, Wellington suburb?, £68, This Day. The Coptic has arrived from London. Messrs Loviu and Coy have receiyed a telegram that the steamer Kiwi, a well known coastal trade, was totally wrecked at tfleuboura on the East Coast. AH hands were saved. Christchukch, April 11 The Knapoi Woollen Manufacturing Company has declared an interim dividend for th-j half-year at the rate of nine per cent pet annum. At Lyftelton to>day Ada Emma Flavel was fined 20s and costs for signing a declaration for claim to vote when she was under the age of 21. The cost of the licensing election for Hiccarton was £75 17s 4d or £6 6s 6d per booth ; for Felwyc the cost was £69 lls 3d or JL'3 Os 6d per booth. In Kaiapoi dis. trict the amount was £65 10s 7d. Auckland, April 11.
