Palmerston results were as follows :- Messrs Abraham, Abrahams, Bryant, Buick, Edwards, Grant, Snelsou, aud Jack were elected. The local option poll is in favor of prohibition. There are nine returns to come, and it is probable the result will be considerably effected. Masterton The poll is almost certain to be null. Duncdiu— lf eighteen more votes had been polled prohibition would have been carried. Wanganui- The ballot is iv favor of the licenses as at present. Otalci The results, so far, are in in favor of licenses as at present. Oarnaru— The poll is in favor of a reduction. Port Chalmers Decided majority in favor of no license. Hawke's Bay — The local option poll is void. Ashburton — The poll resulted iv favor of a reduction.
