SANDON HACK RACES.
The Sandou Jockey Club held their annual meeting on Saturday. Several showers of raiu fell, but the racing was very good, and Mr J. E. Henry was accorded three cheers for his handicapping. The following were the results : - Flying Handicap — Roll Call, 1 ; Kai Iwi Lady, 2 ; Buckler, 3. Barman, The Artist and Pihauga also ran. Won by a head. A protest was eutered agaiust the winner on the ground that the jockey struck Kai Iwi Lady with his whip, aud thus interfered with her. The stewards upheld the protest, and gave the race to Kai Iwi Lady, who paid a dividend of £2 (is. The dividend ou Roll Call would have been M 3 12s. Hurdles— Strike, 1 ; Lonely, 2 ; Kararnea, 3. Dividend, Ml 14s. Trial Hurdles Raugipai, 1 ; Cruiskeen, 2 ; Awaiua, 3. Dividend, Ml 3 Bs. Sandon Handicap — Huia, 1 ; Buckler, 2 ; Kauri Gum, o. Won easily. Dividend, M 25 15s. Electric Haudicap — Marama, 1 ; Never Return, 2; Moata, 3. Maideu Flat — Fortune aud Teuby ran a dead heat ; Lotia, 3. Dividends, 19s ou Fortune and £1 13s on Tcnby. Iv the run oil Fortune wou ; dividend, Ml 12s, Tramway Handicap - Pihauga, 1 ; The Artist, 2 ; Eotheu, 3. Dividend, £6 Is. Forced Haudicap — Kauri Gum aud Lady Clare rau a dead heat. Dividends, 15s ou Kauri Gum, aud 22s on Lady Clare. Kauri Gum wou iv the ruu off.
