Kiwitea Road Board Works.
The above Board intends raising loans under " The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act " for works in the Apiti Ward as follows : — Birmingham Block.— l. To trim and metal 40 chains Branch Road, from Oroua Valley road to junction with Terrace road— £loo. "2. To construct 130 chains Terrace road, commencing at junction with Branch road — £585. Total of loan : £685. Pemberton Small Farm Block.— l. To form, culvert, and bridge 250 chains Mangoira Road South, commencing at junction with Kimbolton road -£682 10s. 2. To metal IGO chains Mangoira Road South, commencing at junction with Kimbolton Road £400. 3. To form and culvert 190 chains Mangiora Road North, commencing at junction with Kimbolton Road— £s7o. 4. To metal 80 chains of the Mangiora Road North, commencing with junction with Kimbolton road— £24o. Total of loan : £1892 10s. Works in the Apiti Ward as follows : — l. To form and metal 140 chains Kiwitea Cross road, eomiuencing at junction with Kimbolton road — £770. 2. To form, metal, and culvert the Peep-o'-Day road from Kimbolton road to within 8 chains of the Kiwitea stream, 236 chains— £944. 3. To widen present formation, form and culvert and metal the Bluff road from Kimbolton road to end of Bluff road, 163 chains— £Bs7. Total of loan, £2,571. For the payment of interest, at » per cent for 26 years on the above amounts, it is proposed to levy special rates on various sections within the Apiti Ward.
