WANGANUI DISTRICT. The half-yearly meeting of the above took place last (Friday) night in the lodge room of the Loyal Wanganui Lodge, the various lodges comprising the district being represented by the following brethren: — Loyal Wanganui Lodge, P.P.G.M.'s Bros. T. Bainber, E. Garner, and W. Flyger, P.G.s Bros. J. J. Buckrell and I Salek, and G.M. Bro. H. Harris. Loyal Manawatu Lodge, P.P.G.M.'s Bro. W. Wood and T. W. Ferry, and P.G. Bro. T. Trask. Loyal Manchester Lodge, P.S. Bro. A. W. Parker and N.G. Bro. A. Mines. After the minutes of the last meeting, which was held at Palmerston North, were read, the ordinary business was proceeded with as follows : — The half-yearly balance-sheet of the Wanganui District, showing a credit balance of £173 19s 6d was read and adopted. The balance-sheets of the Loyal Manawatu Lodge, showing a credit balance of £598 0s 2d, and the balancesheets of the Loyal Manchester Lodge, credit balance £'96 8s lid, were read and adopted ; making the worth of the Wanganui District amount to £6927 9s 6d. The election of officers for the next term resulted as follows : — Grand Master, Bro. J. R. Paul ; Deputy Grand Master, Bro. R. Relf. The newly-installed G.M. closed the meeting with the intimation that the next meeting of the District would be held at Feilding, on the 4th Friday in July. At the close of the meeting the newlyelected G.M. held a purple lecture, when Bro. A. W. Parker received the sign and pass word. Permission was also given to the past officers of the Manawatu Lodge to hold purple lectures at their lodge room (Palmerston North 1 ) . —Herald.
