(PEB PBBBS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, December 27. A seven-yoar«old boy named Frederick Holt, was accidentally drowned at St. Heher's Bay this morning, Wellington, December 27. It is stated Mr Thomas Bracken is to be appointed Registrar of Electors for Wellington at a salary of £150. It is reported a petition is to be lodged against the return of Sir Robert Stout for Wellington on the alleged ground of corrupt praotice in the shape of a bet made by one of his agents in the late election. Tbe local Post and Telegraph offioe is now lit by electricity by its own plant.
