A Warning to Publicans

I (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) ! Auckland, Ootober 19. A charge against 6. Laram (junior), of Upper Euaotuna, for supplying drink to an intoxicated person, was heard to-day at the Police Court. The case arose out of an accident which occurred to James Arnold on the night of Monday, the 9th in«t. It was alleged the injured nan, who fell into a fire in a whare and got badly burned, had been supplied with drink either by the defendant or those under his control when he (Arnold) was very much under the influence of liquor. After a long hearing, in which contradictory evidence was given, the Magis* tratc found defendant guilty and fined luin £5 and costs, amounting to about £15. The conviction was ordered to be endorsed on the license.
