The Egmont Seat
«. [ PER UNITED PRESB ASSOCIATION. ] New Plymouth, January 27. Mr Marchant has been pressed to stand for the Egmont seat, but after consideration declined to do so. Mr McGuira intends to contest the seat against all comers. Mr Bruce is being requisitioned, and there is talk of Mr Vincent Pyke, . late member for Dunstan, being asked to stand.- ■
