The Wanganui Jockey Club's Spring meeting passed off very successfully yesterday. Germaine came to grief in the hurdles, and gave Holmes, her jockey, a slight shaking. Mr F. R. Jackson in his position of secretary, was kept busy, and eT«rything carried out in good order. Appended are the results : — Trial Stakes Handicap, of 60sotb ; f-mile. — • Tongariro 1, Rumour 2, Laurel 3. Rivulet, Administrator, The Gem, Vendor, and Hippona also started. Totalisator — Lawn, £10 12s ; outside, £19 2s. Handicap Hurdles, of 75sovs ; 2 miles and a distance. — Allegro 1, Waitangi 2, Kangaroo 3. Reputation, Germaine, Blue Bell and Rimu also started. Totalisator— Lawn, £9 9s; outside, £11 2s. Hack Hurdles, of 20 sots ; one mile and a distance. — Clarice 1, Promotion 2, Corsair 3. Totalisator— Lawn, £2 16s; outside, £2 6s. Wanganui Stakes Handicap, of 150 sots ; 1£ miles.— Laurel 1, Rumour 2, Germaine 3. Rivulet, Administrator, The Gem, Buapebu, Tongariro, Kufus, Rimu also started. Laurel won with a bit in hand.
