[By Electric Telegraph — Copyright.} [eeuteks* telegrams . ] London, January 9. Australian greasy merino, fleece wool is being sold privately at an advance of £d to fd. on last sales'closing rates.
The tone of the wheat market is quieter, but late prices have been steadily maintained. Two Australian cargoes of 3,000 and 2,000 quarters respectively have been sold at 38s. American shipmeuts are increasing, and in consequence New York prices are weaker.
