Fraudulent Bankruptcy.

At the Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday morning, before Mr Ward, R.M., the hearing of the informations against William Lingard for alleged fraudulent bankruptcy took place. After lengthy evidence his Worship said tbat there was some evidence tbat the hops were dealt with in other than ordinary way of business, and it was for a jury to consider whether or not there was fraudulent intent. The defendant was committed for trial, bail being allowed, himself in £100 and two sureties of £50 each. At tlte defendant's request he was committed to the Supreme Court instead of the District Court.
