SWIMMING MATCHES AT BULLS.

♦ "pee united pbess association.] Bulls, This Day. The second match of the Clifton Swimming Club took place this morning at 6. 30 in the Rangitikei River. The public showed groat interest in the event, by attending in large numbers. In the loOvds handicap the following started:— A Batren, scratch ; A. Armstrong and F. McGregor, 10 yds; J. Manning and G. Worsfold, 15 yds ; J. McGuire, 20yds ; McGregor, 35yds; T. W. Downes, 30yds. It was a most exciting race, resulting as follows : — Worsfold, 1; A. Armstrong, 2; Batten, 3; McGuire, 4, each taking a prize. The distance between Worsfold and McGuire at the finish was 3yds. Time, 3 minutes. Several other even is took place between members of the club
