The British Ambassador, Lord Lothian, conferred with the Secretary of Stated Mr. Cordell Hull, and afterwards indicated that the whole Far Eastern situation was discussed at length. Lord Lothian did not divulge clclail?. He said that he had not yet been officially advised of Britain's decision to reopen the Burma route. The Australian Minister, Mr. R. G. Casey, visited the Assistant Secretary of State, Mr. Sumner Welles.
