Considering that she was having only her third start when she won the Novice Handicap at the Ohinemuri Meeting on Monday, Durvach was responsible for a very pleasing performance, and, judging by the easy manner in which she accounted for her opponents when the pressure was applied in the final furlong, she should experience little difficulty in winning her way out of the hack ranks. She is a fine type of black filly by Foxbridge from the Hunting Song mare Sunny Song, a daughter of Sunny Roe, who was out of the Soult mare Merry Roe, who traces back to St. Hippo.
