Winds.—Fresh to strong easterlies over Auckland Province, reaching gale force at times in the extreme north; elsewhere light to fresh and rather variable winds with south-easterlies predominating. Seas.—Rough on the east coast from Cook Strait northwards and offshore north of Kawhia; elsewhere slight to moderate. Weather.—Unsettled over the Auckland Province with occasional rain, more especially in the extreme north; some scattered rain also in the Hawke's Bay-Gisborne area; cloudy in other eastern districts with scattered morning fog or drizzle; conditions fair to fine west of the ranges. Temperatures moderate in western districts, elsewhere cool. SUN, MOON, AND TIDES.
