SPIVAKOVSKY-KURTZ CONCERTS

• Lovers of music throughout the Dominion will welcome thai announcement that the renowned SpivakovskyKurtz trio of instrumentalists will give a series of concerts in the principal New Zealand towns, conynencing at Wellington on Monday, January 20. Those fine artists made a very successful tour of New Zealand in. 1933, creating a profound impression with tti-i remarkable- unanimity -and verve or their ensemble playing in addition to their brilliance as soloists. They have recently been attached to the Melbourne University Conservatonum of Music, conducting the master classes in their respective spheres. The programmes to be presented on:the forthcoming tour will include Trios by Ravel, Beethoven, and Mendelssohn, and new solo items by each player. Tho tour is under the direction of D. D. O'Connor. '
