WEDDING
The wedding was solemnised recently at St. Joseph's Church,. Buckle street,' of Georgette Dorothy, ' eldest daughter of Mrs. W. Sime, and Thomas Clarence, second-son oOIr. ana Mrs. Ralph Fletcher, Upperßiccarton', Christchurch. Nuptial" Mass < was celebrated by the Bey. Dr. Mcßae, who also officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. A. Sinie, wore a simply cnt longsleeved/ frock of whito geprgetto, shaped to tho figure, tho very full ankle length skirt being finished with a wide pepluni frill. Her veil was arranged in, a simple band across tho head, .and caught at the sides with clusters of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of Christmas lilies ancl white ro&es with touches of'pink. Her only attendant was Mr». Esmay Morris/who wore 'a long shaped frock of jade green georgette with tiny flecking of black. Her hat was in the same shade of green, turned up at one side and trimmed under the brim with a pink rose. She carried a bouquet of'deep pink loses and carnations. Mr.' Edward Jones, was best man. Miss Kathleen Fitzpatrick presided at the .organ. On leaving tho church the bride and brido'groom passed through a guard of honour formed by the Children of Mary and V.A.D. members of the Bed Cross Society in' uniform, the bride having been a popular member of both societies for many years. A reception Wag held at Scotts, where the guests were received by the bride's mother, who wore a Lido blue ensemble and a navy Bangkok hat tilted on one side with a large ostrich feather mount. She carried a posy of autumn and rosetinted flowers. '

Ferguson, Wellington, . ana..David John Hooa. eldest son of Mr. and the "late Mrs. D. Burns, Wellington. Tho ceremony >was performed by tho Eev. J. Baird, M.A. The bride wore a frock'of parchment satin and lace, made with a.doep V necklino and a long graceful,'skirt flaring I from a moulded hip yoke; W*th it was | worn a lace coatee, and her veil (handembroiderea'by a cousin of tbt bride in Scotland) ,wag- arranged- 'with acirclet of orange blossom 'buds. JShej carried a sheaf of white roses. Two bridesmaids, Misses Alice Burns (chief), sister of t the bridegroom, and Doiis Ferguson (sister of the bride), and a small - flower-girl, ,Lila -Burns (niece of the bridegroom), "attended tho bride. Tho'chief bridesmaid woie a long flared frock of .blue silk lace, and the other bridesmaid ,woro a similar frock in pale blue.. Both wcie finished with crepo^ ac chine "bows, ana they wore apricot/picture-ha"ts, and carriea sh.eaves of apricot and, pink flowers. The flower-girl wore ji long pmk crepb de chino frock tri'mmod1 with apiicot and pinkjrosebiids. She' wore a pink; hat, and carried a basket of pink ana lavenaer sweet peas. ,Mr.''Jack Sinclair was best man ana Mr. William Ferguson groomsman.1 About 60 friends were entertained at the-wedding breakfast and danco,, which, weie held at: Scott's tearooms. Mrs. Ferguson wore: a blue figmea marocain 'frock with a lace coatee, and a black hat. She carried a posy of pink and'lavender flow-; ers. :
