HARDSHIP PLEADED

CLUB'S RE-REGISTRATION

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.

At a meeting of tlio New Zealand Trotting Board, the Wanganui Trotting Club wrote applying for re-registration of the club, and asked that the fee of £.10 10s be refunded on the grounds that it was unfair to be penalised to the extent of ten guineas for not racing last season when the reason for arriving at that decision was a purely financial one. The club was not in a healthy state financially, and the extra fee was rather a blow.

After discussion it was decided to refer the matter back to the club, and to reconsider it at a special meeting of the association in a fortnight.
