Gran' Chaco is now fotir; years old:. He is a bay'gelding by Koyal Divorce from the ■De Witter mare Tootstepv; the ' dahr also of; Pantler, Bulolo, and ■ Adventus. His breeder, Mr; W. X. Bailey, formerly raced1 him, but he was sold to Mr. E. P. TUwaitcs 'towards the end of last season, and_ entered G. W. New's stable at Awapuni. His latest .appearance was in the Christinas Handicap,. seven furlongs, on the final day of the recent, Manawatu Meeting, when he finished fourth behind Joie de Val, Capetown, and Banbrid^e in a very close finish.
