REPAIRED TO HASTINGS

This, morning the railway line was temporarily repaired up to Hastings. Traffic is being worked to that point. Rolling-stock from all parts of the North Island is being assembled at all available places along the line in readiness to carry out the work of evacuating Napier. : It was expected that a number of the injured would bo. brought down by special train-to Wellington Hospital last night, and extra staff remained on duty to. receive them. The patients were, however, diverted to other hospitals, and the train did not come through. There are 75 beds availablo at the Wellington Hospital.
