Ho was preceded by tho Engineer-in-Chief of the Public Works Department (Mr. F. W. Furkert). Yesterday afternoon the Minister of Education (tho Hon. H. Atmore), accompanied by the Department's architect, Mr. Savage, also proceoded to Hawkes.Bay by car. : ■ _-' ■ Messrs. P. Fraser, R.
