DUKE OF YORK
FATE-OF A LETTER
- Very mysterious—to say-the least— aro the ways of- the Post Office. Not only on occasions , docs it not deliver where it should, but it delivers where it' should not, says -tho "Daily Telegraph." Recently. a postman carried in his bag a letter addressed to His Royal Highness, The Duke of York, . London, England. As every schoolboy knows, the Duke resides at 143, Piccadilly, W.I. However, the- letter, which was posted in New Zealand, was delivered at a public-house called the "TDuke of York," in Cavendish street, W. Mr. H. G. Glover, the licensee, opened' it, and, realising the error, at once had it taken along to His Royal Highness. It proved to be a personal communication.
