All three horses in the places strangely enough' contested the race for the Cambridgeshire in the autumn. ■• On that occasion the City and Suburban, winner, Lucky Tor, was badly kicked at the post, and did well to finish seventh.. "Vatout was in front until just on the, post in the Cambridgeshire, and then the outsider Double Life dashed up to beat him. Vatont was an early Lincolnshire selection this year, but was withdrawn from that race. A.thford, who finished second in yesterday's event, was favourite for the: Cambridgeshire,.. but was only tenth at the flnishi .. Ho was a good winner last season.
