The pilot, landing by parachute, was unharmed. I A mechanic, flying at Viborg, Finland, was not so lucky. A parachute affixed to his back suddenly opened when his machine was at a high altitude, plucking. him from tho machine and dashing him to death against the | tail. The corpse sank slowly to the ground attached to the parachute. The aeroplane lost balance and crashed into the sea, killing the pilot.
