MANOR PARK CLUB
, An interesting, competition was played last week-end by members of the above j club. A qualifying round over 18 holes was played^ and this was led by I. Davis (12) 67, E. W. Brockett. (12) 70, and A. G. Managan (10) 70. The competition was completed by match play off handicap, and E. W. Brockett- scored a popular win. : In the first round, Davis beat Clarke, 1 up; Cooke beat Robertson, 3 and 2; Green beat Harrower, 5. and 4; Barnard beat Williams, 1 up;, Flanagan beat Pope, 4 and 3; Mehaffey beat Hendry, 5 and 4; Forbes beat Sherwood, 3 and 2; Brockett beat Thompson, 2 and 1. In the second round, Cooke beat Davis, 1 up; Green beat Barnard, 2 and 1; Flanagan beat Mehaffey, 4 and 3; ;Brockett beat Forbes, 4 and 3. In the semi-final, Green beat Cooke, 2 and 1; Brockett beat Flanagan,' 4 and 3. In the final of the competition, B; W. Brocket); beat E. W. Green, 4 and 3.. :-■■- ■ -:■■ ' : ■
