MAINTENANCE CASES

Maintenance cases in the Magistrate's Court yesterday were dealt with by Mr. J.. B. .MNeil, S.M. On charges of being in arrears on orders for the support of Deborah Arthur and his child, Lindo Houston Arthur was sentenced to three months' imprisonment in each case, the warrants to be suspended as long as he pays £2 10s a week on his wife's order, and 17s 6d a week on the child's order. Karl Woodberry was sentenced to two months' imprisonment, to be released on payment of £4 owing on an order for the maintenance of his child, and £1 Is solicitor's fee.

A sentence of three months' imprisonment was imposed on Cyril Amos Chinnery, who was charged with being in arrears, on an order made in respect of his child. He will be released on payment of arrears amounting to £24 15s. For being in arrears on an order for the support of his child, Michael Carroll was sentenced to two months' imprisonment, to be released.on payment of £5. Charged with having failed to comply with the terms of an order for the support of his child, Clarence William Jensen was sentenced to seven days' imprisonsonment, to be released on payment of 12s 6d arrears.

Alfred William Sakey was charged with being in arrears on an order for the support of his wife. He was sentenced to three mouths' imprisonment, to be released oh payment of £10 ss.
