BALDWIN AND BUDGET
DEFICIT PROPHESIED
LABOUR'S EXTRAVAGANCE
, LONDON, 14th December. Mr. Baldwin, speaking at Edinburgh, prophesied a Budget deficit of twenty to thirty or forty millions sterling, the main part of which must be met by extra taxation. The Government was piling fresh burdens on industry, and' the solution of the unemployment problem was becoming increasingly impossible by reason of Labour's extravagance and the atmosphere of uncertainty.
