The grant of £950 for wild pigs' snouts in the district of which Palmerston North is the centre has almost been exhausted. Since the first payment in the third week of October no fewer than 17,000 snouts ha.ye been certified to by field officers of the Forestry and Agriculture Bepartments, and this nutnoer at a shilling a snout represents £850.
