In mo-ing this remit :iMr. "'•■ Beaslay said there was no local feeling in the matter, but it was felt that a bath, 25 yards long was too short for national championships. As to depth, the baths should comply with "the. rules of diving. At present polo in a shallow bath was very awkward. Usually there was more accommodation where there was a larger^ bath. Mr. Beaslay said they wanted1 to leave it to the council; they did not want to debar a centre like Wanganui. ■ Mr. J. Reid (Wanganui) asked if they wanted t6 cut'out all places-but Auckland and Wellington. . . . ..', Mr. D. Mulvihill (Auckland) said what was wanted was to get rid of heats in: the long distances races, •.-... Mr. F.
