New Age Of Expansion For Natural Rubber
Received Friday 8.50 p.m. WASHINGTON, Dec. 29. The Natural Rubber Bureau said the first half of this centtlf'y, "the gblden era of the tyre, " would be followed in the next 50 years by expansion "beyond ali present conception" in the uses of rubber as a bas'ic commodity. In its review of 1949 the Bureau said threequarters of the rubber output still went into tyres, but rubber roads, latexfoam cushioning, rubber flooring, rubber in construction, rubber springs, rub? ber-based paints and other new uses are on the threshold of a tremendous future.
