WELLINGTON, Nov. 28. Ail important extension to homeser vicemen of eligibility for immediate reliabilitation assistance, was announced this afternoon by Mr. C. I .
Skinner. T he Minister saia ex-servme-men of the 1939-45 war with at least three years of service either wholly oi partly m New Zealand or with at Least two years of service including six months overseas or any period in a forward area lf the applicant was at the time' posted to a forward unit, may be considered for rehabilitation loans to buv or liuild liouses. All qualifving scr\ice must be within the war period eiiding March 31, 1946, and the extension of eligibility takes ell'ect from January 1, 1950. "This further lowering of rehabilitation priorities is in line with previ- 1 ous extensions and is made possible by the progressive imprpvement in tlie buildiug position, " said Mr. Skinner. " It is not possible in the meantime to extend the sanie eligibility to business loan applications but x as 1 have many limes, stated, priorities for rehabilitation assistance will be reviewed- as conditions perinit. ' '
