DECISION WITH ELECTORS

Press Association)

Ir. Holland Points To Main Eiection Issue

(Per

CHRISTCHURCH,, Nov. 29. "The deeision is now in the hands of the electors," said the Leader of the National Party, Mr. Holland, in a pre-eleetion message today after urgihg on electors the importance of voting. .Mfi Holland continued: "As I -see it, the main jssue in the eiection is the ' danger to the jfeople's living standards- and to tne general economic structure of the country if Labour is allowed to continue with its policy of socialisation and interferenee. Experience has proved that as a general rule State interferenee and management in activities" -which have been efficieptly carried on by private enterprise merely results in higher costs and a reduced supply of goods. I^am satisfied that under our policy we can bring about a real advance in the standard of living, and I do not think the fear campaign of the Labour ^Rarty has impressed many people."I am grateful to many thousands of people at all the centres I have visited whose interest and enthusiasm helped to make my 'tour of the Dominion such an inspiring and heartening experience. "To our candidates, too, I send my thanks and good wishes. This has been a vital eiection campaign and they have all performed their parts worthily. "It now remains for the people of New Zealand to adliver their verdict.'; •
