Advice has been received that ; Mr. Brian Walker, son of Mr. and i Mrs. W. H. Walker, of Levin, was among the suecessful students of Otago University in the examination for the degree of Bachelor of . Dental Surgery. To take up an appointment as United States Consul in Auckland, Mr. M. A. Colebrook arrived in the Aorangi from Sydney yesterday, accompanied by his wife. Mr. Colebrook has just completed a tour of vice-consular duty at Saigon, French Indo-China. He was Vice-Consul in Brisbane for 3£ years.
