WELLINGTON,, Nov. 25. "The aUegations of the Federation of Labour are so fantastic ajid untrue that it would be a ' sheer waste of tirfie to reply to them in heta.il," said the Leader of the National Party, Mr. Hollahd, in a statement today. "The policy of the Na^onai Party has been published and expounded throughout the country and there is nothmg whatever in it to sustaip the charges that wages wi|l be reduced or that the worker w-ill suffer in any way as the result of a change of ^Government. On the oontrary, the people as a wholewili benefit from the ohahge. "The National Party taelieves in a policy of high wages, not merely in terms of money but in terms of goods and services, whieh after all is the true measuring rod of incomes. "It is well khown that the Federation of Labour is merely the in*dustrial wing of the Labour Party, pledged to bring about the socialisation of the means of production, distribution and exchange, and pledged also to secure the. re*turn of the Labour Party, in which leading members of the federation hold high offlee. The public will not be deceived bv the pueriie atbempts of the federation to twist and distort the National Party 's policy, and -to deflect attention from the real issues in this vital election."
