UNUSUAL ROADSIDE ACCIDENT

WELLINGTON August 14. While talking with another road service bus driver on the side of the road near Te Karaka in the early hours oi Saturday, 1'eter Bradley, married, gar age foreman for the Railwav Road >Ser vices, was struck by the open door of the bus which was liit by an approacliing car, and thrown under the running board. He was sent to hospital suft'ering from head injuries. Mr Bradley, drivihg a bus, had left Gisborne earlier to ascertain the condition of the Auckland bus in which a det'ect was reported, and signalled tlie driver of another bus to stop to inquire. Tt was while the drivers were talking that the accident occurred.
