Win For Sands In Fight With Frenchman
LQNDON, April 19. The Australian Dave Sands defeated the Frenchman Lucien Caboche on 'points over 10 rounds at the Albert Hall tonight. Sands weiglied, 11st 61b and Caboche 11st. This "was San-ds's second fight in England. In the firs! conte^t he was „ outpointed by the Americaij. Tommy Yarosz. Sands made most of the fight against Caboche, who adopted smo the ring and spoiling tacties. The Australian found the Frenchman awkward to hit cleanly and much of Sands 's work was nnlli fied. Some of the latter rounds 'were fought at a slow pace and the crowd called for action. Sands won sevei" rounds of the dull fight. Neither pian was marked as the result of their disappointing efforts.
