Interchanges Of Visits By Swimming Teams

! j A forward move in the promoti m of a higher standard of competitive swimming in the Manawatu is to be seen in the preliminary discussions now being he'd with a view to formulating a policy for •representative swimming 'during the next season. President of the Manawatu Swimming Centre, Mr. Plii.lips, of Levin, is a keen advocate of the idea which ' visualises the se"ection of representative teams to visit other centres such as Wanganui, Wellington and Hawke's Bay if those centres are prepared to select similar teams to meet the Manawatu representatives. Such interchanges of visits on a representative level wouM go a long way toward preparing Manawatu swimmers for the stiff competition experienced at national championships.
