OHAKUNE, Nov. 2. The body of Mr. M milford which was found at tlie scene of the crash last niglit, was brought down from Mt. Ruapehu today. Tlie body was found under the place where tlie wing had lain 011 the snow detaehed from the rest of the wreekage. Tliis wing slipped down the gullv when the snow softenued up on f-suiukqy night. When the party which left yesterdav morning, reached the camp below Cascade Falls in the late afternoon, Constables Ward, Gunn aiul iMunro, with Guides Mace and Bkardarasy, went straight on to the scene of the crash and found the body. It was brought to the snowTline last night and they returned to camp. Tliis morning the body was reeovered and brought to Horopito wlience it was removed to the morgue at Raetihi. An inquest at which evidence of identiflcation will be given, is to be opened in the morning. A tribute to the guides was paid by the police tonight. Without their assistance aud leadership the second trip might never have been brought to a successful conclusion as the weather throughout was exceedinglv bad and tlie snow conditions difficult. Since midday Fridav, the Ohakune Post Office, under the direction of Mr. R. L. Horn, Chief Postmaster, Wanganui, and Mr. M. Tngram, Postmaster at Ohakune, has maintained a continuous and prompt service for all press and private messages and has done a splendid job.
