Mr. Rnpert .Ma.ckay appeared for Ihe Board and placed* before the Court evidence from Inspector Bntlierland and Mr. Mackley, stock inspector, tliat poisouing carried out by Managli had been ineffeetive in that there were far too inauy rabbits still o u tlie property. Managli, in evidence, said lie had spent a week on the work and there was little niore that could be done. tn his o]>inion it was inipossible to cope with them as the | rabbits canie on to iiis fresh greeu pasture from tlie adjoining rough couutry iowned bv other farmers. Mr. Colenian, from the Bench, said 'that it was appreciated that Managh j had done something but experienced in i spectors were both agreed that rabbits i were far too nuiuerous 011 his property. A Hue of 30s and costs was iiuposed.
