Successful Plunket Bazaar
The bazaar held last week to raise funds for the Otaki branch of the Plunket Society was well attended and the excellent sum of £95 realised. Mrs. W. Morton, president of the branch, in opening the bazajar,, which was held ' in the AngJican Hall, thanked all who had made donations of cash and goods to the stalls, and also tne committee who had been working very hard to j oring about a successful day. i The well laden stalls did brisk : ousiness and were quickly cleared of their wares. stall • holders were; — Fancy: Mesdames D. Blake, E. M. Southcombe and N. Radcliffe, and Miss P. Radcliffe; cake; : Mesdames S. Elliott, L. Moss and M. Holmes; produce and flowers: Mesdames A. Saunders, C. L. Kirk and P. Dimock; jumble: Mesdames j E. Tooby, H. Nicolson, J. Read and ; R. Rori; teas: Mesdames B. Rhodes, F. Rule, C. Jacobs and J. Meagher. j Competitions were freeiy ent'er;ed into and winners were: Guy .Taylor, W. J. Anderson, BernaIdette Hill, O. Kemp, Mrs. Rule, J. R. McLeod, J. Fogden, Mrs. M. iNewdick, L. McDonald, F. Stupples 1 Mrs. T. Synnott, and Dr. Atmore.
