PcrsonaJ Mrs. H. B. Cole, of Aotaki Street, is visiting Wanganui. Miss Jean Taylor, of Mill Road, Otaki, is on a holiday in Palmerston North. Mr. and Mrs. Delmonte, of Wellington, are spending a few days at Otaki Beach. Mrs. A. Johnstone, of Wellington, is at present staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Grant, Te Horo. Master Stuart Fox, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Fox, of Rangiuru Beach, Otaki, was admitted to the Palmerston North Hospi&al yesterday. Mrs. R. Hamilton, of Rangiuru Beach, Otaki, who has been visiting Napier and Hastings, returned to her home on Wednesday. Incipient Fire An akarm of fire was sounded on Saturday morning at 11.10 a.m., but on proceeding to the scene of the "ouibreak" the Otaki Voiunteer Fire Brigade discovered that the alarm had been sounded prematurely, and that the causc had been discovered too late to stop the brigade turning out. Coilision in Mill Road An accident, luckiiy not attended with any serious consequences, occurred near the merry-go-round in Mill Road on Friday afternoon, when a smali gin, Georgina Cootes, aged three yearr was involved in a coilision with a car driven by Traffic Inspector C. Davis. The 'girl sufrered a'orasions and shock, and after receiving medical attention was reported to be little the worse for the mishap.
