TARANAKI DEFEAT NORTH AUCKLAND
-NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 12. Taranaki defeated North Auckland by 17 points to 3 in a representative Rugby match at New Plymouth. Taranaki owed the margin of victory to slashing play by the forwards towards the end of the second half when three tries were ratfled on quickly by Hohaia, Burke and Schumacher. lnstone and Beatty also scored a^try each, Johns converting oue. North Auckland 's points came from a penalty goal kicked by Bearsley.
