Discussions on Produce Contracts
Rfeceiv'ed Monday, 7 p.m. LONDON; Juiy 5. Preliminary discussions between repi'esentatives of the New Zealand Governmbiit, New Zealaiid Medt Produeers' Board and British Ministry of Food; wei-e eompleted this week at Cdlwyii Bay, North Wales, and the New Zealand delegates have now returned to'Lohdon. The talks will be resumed when the British authorities have had time tb dis'cuss New Zealand proposals with the various departments coneerned: "VVhlie the meat contract negotiatioxis are in recess, talks between the New Zealand Dairy Commission and Ministry of Fbbd bvbf the tbrins of the iieW dairy produce contract, xvill be resumed. The British negotiators expect, duriilg tlie cohrfte of the talks, that New Zbaland will raisfe the question of increased supplies of materials necessary to increase the Fominion 'S production, notably fencing wire and tractors New Zealand 's needs in this respect are well uhderstbod but the Board ot Trade is hampered by a steel shortage in mdking increased allocations. The New Zealand reprcseritatives will diseuss tliese difficulties with the Board.
