Serious Accident Averted A serious accident was narrowly averte'd on Saturday evening when an elderly man opened the rear door of a car "Tio throw out a cigarette butt. The force of air caused by the car's motion swept the door from his grip and almost threw him to the roadway. Although a number of acci'dents have been caused by opening car doors while the vehicle is in motion, the practice still continues. Not only are children the culprits, but also adults who should realise the danger involved.
