Civic Theatre

In "While the Sun Shines," coming to the Civic Tneatre on Tuesday and Wednesday and starring Ronald Howard and Barbara White, the publicity writers were, for once, modest . in describing Terence Rattigan's sparkling light comedy as "highly creditable." In many ways, it is more than this. In this particular field of film entertainmen, it is a production of rare brllliance with hardly a flaw, showmg British humour and characters at their best. Associated Briti'sh Pictures have not made it a lavish presenation; most of its leading players will not be knowh to tnte majority of film-goers; but it is a witty, likeable story, and a fine example of British film craft in the comedy line.
