Messrs. Townsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchanrs, Wellington, report that during the past week the demand for allj classes of vegetables has been far in excess of supplies. Cabbage, carrots, silver beet, parsnips and swedes have been reaiislng ceillng price, while other lines in keen demand are caulifiower, celery, spinach and lettuce.
