Vegetables Bring Good Prices At Market

Messrs. Townsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchanrs, Wellington, report that during the past week the demand for allj classes of vegetables has been far in excess of supplies. Cabbage, carrots, silver beet, parsnips and swedes have been reaiislng ceillng price, while other lines in keen demand are caulifiower, celery, spinach and lettuce. Tree tomatoes have been coming to hand moie freely, with values easier. There is a strong demand for all citrus ; fruits, together with passionf rult j and hot house beans. In the flower section all varieties are realismg exceilent values. In poultry saies a very strong demand has been j shown for all choice birds.
