Ava Gardiner "The Venus"

The .Venus, incarnate for the screen version of "One Touch of Venus," is . Ava. Gardner, Her experience includes her eSpousal first of Artie Shaw and tiien of Mickey Rooney. The picture will retain the music of Kurt Weill from the Broadway piay, but most of the lyrics by S. J. Perelman and Ogden Nash have been rewritten to satisfy the demands of screen consorship. The plot has been changed to some degree to introduce Hugh Herbert as Mercury, the messenger from Olympus, a character who aid not appear in the stage version. The leading men are Dick Haymes and Robert Walker, while Eve Arden appears in the second feminine role. The voice of Eileen Boison, who is unknown on the screen, will be dubbed in for Miss Gardner 's singing sequences.
