The Late Mr. E. T. Bull
The death occurred recentiy of Mr. Ernest Tudor Bull, for many years past a resident of the Horowhenua district. The late Mr. Bull was^ born at Axbridge, England, in 1878. He served his time in the bakery business and at the age of 19 went to sea, carrying on his trade, and by 1900 had three times compTeted the round journey from England to New Zealand and back via the Cape. ( Mr. Bull came to settle in New Zealand in 1900, continuing his trade until 1912 when he took up farming. He farmed at Koputoroa from 1921 to 1925 and then moved •to Weraroa. For 12 years he served 'on the staff of the Weraroa Boys' Training Farm and since then had 'carried on farming on his own account. The funeral service at his late residence and at the graveside was conducted by Rev. D. C. Bates, of Wellington, and the large attendance thgre 'and thermany floral trihutes were an eloquent testimony to the high esteem " that his kindly and helpful disposition had won him. Mr. Bull is survived by his wife, and by two sisters, Miss Bull, of Lymington, England, and Mrs. H. Nicholas, of Takaka.
