Dairy Cows Off Hills Sell Readily
An average price of £13 15s each was realised for 51 head of dairy stock offered at a clearing sale on Wednesday by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., on behalf of Mr. John Gaudin, of Reikorangi. The herd came forward in excellent condition considering the fact that it was off hill. country. A total clearance was effected under the hammer at prices in" excess of the vendors' expectations. The following is a range of prices: — July-August calving cows, £15 10s, £16, £17, £18 10s, £19 10s; September do., £10, £12, £13 10s, £15; later do., £9 10s, £10, £11; small heifers, r.w.b., £8 10s to £12; weaner heifers, £4 16s; Jersey bull, £13. \
